Background:
This gene encodes a bifunctional signal transduction molecule. Dopaminergic and glutamatergic receptor stimulation regulates its phosphorylation and function as a kinase or phosphatase inhibitor. As a target for dopamine, this gene may serve as a therapeutic target for neurologic and psychiatric disorders. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Research Area: Metabolism, Neuroscience, Signal transduction

Synonyms: Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 1B, PPP1R1B, DARPP32, Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 1B, DARPP-32, Dopamine- and cAMP-regulated neuronal phosphoprotein

Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human AMPK alpha around the phosphorylation site of Thr172. AA range:140-189

Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.

Formulation: Liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide.
