Protein Family: Chaperones and Folding Catalysts
Pathway and Disease: Neurodegenerative Disorders, Nervous and Sensory Systems
Description:
Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 1B (DARPP-32) is expressed in dopaminergic neurons. DARPP-32 is a dopamine and cyclic-AMP regulated phosphoprotein. DARPP-32 levels are decreased in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and lymphocytes of both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder patients. Phosphorylation of DARPP-32 is thought to play a critical role in the regulation of dopaminergic neurotransmission.
Alternate Names: Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 1B, DARPP-32, Dopamine- and cAMP-regulated neuronal phosphoprotein, Ppp1r1b
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:1,000; IHC: 1:250
Accession No.: Q6J4I0
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of rat DARPP-32.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of HEPES (pH7.5), 0.01% BSA, with 50% glycerol. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
