Description:
Desmopressin is a synthetic peptide that is similar to antidiuretic hormone which is found naturally in the body. It has a direct antidiuretic action on the kidney and also causes vasoconstriction of the peripheral vessels. It increases urine concentration and decreases urine production. Desmopressin is used to prevent and control excessive thirst, urination, and dehydration caused by injury, surgery, and certain medical conditions. It also used to treat specific types of diabetes insipidus (ADNDI and ARNDI).

Each vial contains 1 mg of lyophilized solid packaged under an inert gas and supplied as acetate salt.
