Protein Family: Cytoskeleton Proteins
Pathway and Disease: Development and Behavior, Nervous and Sensory Systems, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Disrupted in Schizophrenia 1 protein (DISC1) interacts with a variety of cytoskeletal proteins such as tubulin alpha, ACTN2 and ATF4. DISC1 is involved in neurite outgrowth and cortical development through interaction with other proteins. Genetic variation in DISC1 is associated with susceptibility to schizophrenia.
Alternate Names: Disrupted in Schizophrenia 1 protein, DISC1
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: Q9NRI5
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human DISC1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
