Background:
The inner- and outer-arm dyneins, which bridge between thedoublet microtubules in axonemes, are the force-generating proteinsresponsible for the sliding movement in axonemes. The intermediateand light chains, thought to form the base of the dynein arm, helpmediate attachment and may also participate in regulating dyneinactivity. This gene encodes an intermediate chain dynein, belongingto the large family of motor proteins. Mutations in this generesult in abnormal ciliary ultrastructure and function associatedwith primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) and Kartagener syndrome.
Other Names:
Dynein intermediate chain 1, axonemal, Axonemal dynein intermediate chain 1, DNAI1
Gene Name: DNAI1
Gene ID: 27019
Primary Accession: Q9UI46
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
