Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Amino Acid Metabolism
Description:
DOPA decarboxylase (DDC) catalyzes the decarboxylation of L-3, 4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) to dopamine, L-5-hydroxytryptophan to serotonin and L-tryptophan to tryptamine. Defects in DDC are the cause of aromatic L-amino-acid decarboxylase deficiency (AADCD) causing developmental and psychomotor delay.
Alternate Names: Aromatic-L-amino-acid decarboxylase, AADC, DOPA decarboxylase, DDC
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:1,000
Accession No.: P20711
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human DOPA decarboxylase.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of HEPES (pH7.5), 0.01% BSA, with 50% glycerol. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
