Background:
Members of the dystrophin family of proteins perform acritical role in the maintenance of membrane-associated complexesat points of intercellular contact in vertebrate cells. The proteinencoded by this gene is predicted to resemble certain shortC-terminal isoforms of dystrophin and dystrophin-related protein 1(DRP1 or utrophin). DRP2 is expressed principally in the brain andspinal cord. Two transcript variants encoding different isoformshave been found for this gene.
Other Names:
Dystrophin-related protein 2, DRP-2, DRP2
Gene Name: DRP2
Gene ID: 1821
Primary Accession: Q13474
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
