Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Excitatory amino acid transporter 1(SLC1A3) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P in Human;Mouse;Rat.Protein Name: Excitatory amino acid transporter 1
Protein Function:
Transports L-glutamate and also L- and D-aspartate. Essential for terminating the postsynaptic action of glutamate by rapidly removing released glutamate from the synaptic cleft. Acts as a symport by cotransporting sodium.
Other Names: Excitatory amino acid transporter 1, Sodium-dependent glutamate/aspartate transporter 1, GLAST-1, Solute carrier family 1 member 3, SLC1A3, EAAT1, GLAST, GLAST1
Subcellular Localization: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue Specificity: Highly expressed in cerebellum, but also found in frontal cortex, hippocampus and basal ganglia.
Gene ID: 6507
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the N-terminus of human EAAT1 (14-42aa RMERFQQGVRKRTLLAKKKVQNITKEDVK), different from the related mouse sequence by three amino acids, and identical to the related rat sequence.
Calculated MW: 59572
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Format: Lyophilized
Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
Contents: Each vial contains 5mg BSA, 0.9mg NaCl, 0.2mg Na2HPO4, 0.05mg NaN3.
Concentration (mg/ml): Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
Storage: At -20˚C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4˚C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20˚C for a longer time.Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
