Protein Family: Cellular Antigens, Transcription Factors
Pathway and Disease: Infectious Diseases, Transcription
Description:
Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 3 (EBNA-3) plays an essential role for activation and immortalization of human B cells. This family contains EBNA-3A, 3B and 3C that are latent infection nuclear proteins important for the immune response to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. EBNA-3 represses transcription of viral promoters TP1 and Cp through interaction with host RBPJ, and inhibits EBNA2-mediated activation of these promoters. This antibody binds to EBNA-3A.
Alternate Names: EBNA-3, Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 3, EBV nuclear antigen 3, Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 3A, EBV nuclear antigen 3A, EBNA-3A, EBNA3
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P12977
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of EBNA-3A from EBV (Human herpesvirus 4).
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
