Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Endothelin-converting enzyme 1 (ECE-1) is an enzyme that hydrolyzes hydrolysis the 21-Trp-|-Val-22 bond in big endothelin, thus forming endothelin 1. Defects in ECE-1 are a cause of Hirschsprung disease, cardiac defects and autonomic dysfunction (HSCRCDAD). It is a form of Hirschsprung disease with skip-lesions defects, craniofacial abnormalities and other dysmorphic features, and autonomic dysfunction.
Alternate Names: ECE1, Endothelin-converting enzyme 1, ECE-1
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P42892
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human ECE-1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
