Background:
ECSIT (evolutionarily conserved signaling intermediate in Toll pathway) is a 431 amino acid ubiquitously expressed protein that plays an important role as an adaptor protein in the cytosolic signal transduction cascade events triggered by Toll receptor activation. Within the Toll pathway, ECSIT regulates MEKK1 processing for activation of NFκB, a major event leading to initiation of the innate immune response. In the mitochondria, ECSIT interacts with NDUFAF1 and assists in the formation of NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I), an extremely complicated multiprotein complex located in the inner mitochondrial membrane that functions in the transport of electrons from NADH to ubiquinone.
Alternative Name:
SITPEC, Protein SITPEC
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500 - 1:2000, IHC: 1:50 - 1:200
Specificity: ECSIT polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of ECSIT protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant protein of human ECSIT.
MW: ~ 49 kDa
Swis Prot.: Q9BQ95
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
