Protein Family: Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Endocrine System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
The endothelin receptor B (EDNRB) is a non-specific receptor for endothelin 1, 2 and 3. EDNRB mediates its action by association with G-proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Defects in the endothelin receptor B are a cause of Waardenburg syndrome type 4A (WS4A), also known as Waardenburg-Shah syndrome. WS4A is characterized by the association of Waardenburg features (depigmentation and deafness) and the absence of enteric ganglia in the distal part of the intestine (Hirschprung disease).
Alternate Names: Endothelin B receptor, ET-BR, ET-B, Endothelin receptor non-selective type, EDNRB, ETRB
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P24530
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human endothelin B receptor.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 5% BSA, 0.05% thimerosal with 0.5% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
