Background:
epsin 2(EPN2) Homo sapiens This gene encodes a protein which interacts with clathrin and adaptor-related protein complex 2, alpha 1 subunit. The protein is found in a brain-derived clathrin-coated vesicle fraction and localizes to the peri-Golgi region and the cell periphery. The protein is thought to be involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],
Alternative Names:
EPN2, KIAA1065, Epsin-2, EPS-15-interacting protein 2
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human EPN2. AA range:271-320
Isotype: Rabbit
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Concentration: 1 mg/ml
Observed band: 68
GeneID: EPN2
Storage: -20°C/1 year
