This monoclonal antibody is specific to ER alpha and shows minimal cross-reaction with other members of the family. Epitope of this monoclonal antibody is mapped between aa120-170. ER is an important regulator of growth and differentiation in the mammary gland. Presence of ER in breast tumors indicates an increased likelihood of response to anti-estrogen (e.g. tamoxifen) therapy.

Immunogen: ER purified from cow uterus

Reactivity: human, cow, mouse, rat, rabbit. Others not known.

Form: Purified, in 10mM PBS with 0.05% BSA & 0.05% azide. Also available WITHOUT BSA & azide at 1.0mg/ml.

Applications: Flow Cytometry (0.5-1ug/million cells in 0.1ml)
Immunofluorescence (1-2ug/ml)
Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.

Reactivity: MCF-7 Cells or Breast Cancers.

Concentration: 0.2mg/ml

Storage: Can be stored at +4C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
