Background:
This gene encodes electron-transfer-flavoprotein, beta polypeptide, which shuttles electrons between primary flavoprotein dehydrogenases involved in mitochondrial fatty acid and amino acid catabolism and the membrane-bound electron transfer flavoprotein ubiquinone oxidoreductase. The gene deficiencies have been implicated in type II glutaricaciduria. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
Research Area: Cancer, Metabolism, Signal Transduction
Synonyms:
Beta ETF, Beta-ETF, Electron transfer flavoprotein beta polypeptide, Electron transfer flavoprotein beta subunit, Electron transfer flavoprotein subunit beta, Electron transferring flavoprotein beta polypeptide, etfB, ETFB, FP585, MADD
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide of human ETFB
Swissprot: P38117
Gene Accession: NP001014763
Calculated MW: 28 kDa
Observed MW: Refer to figures
Purification Method: Antigen affinity purification
Buffer: PBS with 0.05% NaN3 and 40% Glycerol, pH7.4
