Background:
This gene encodes a fatty acid amide hydrolase that shares a conserved protein motif with the amidase signature family of enzymes. The encoded enzyme is able to catalyze the hydrolysis of a broad range of bioactive lipids, including those from the three main classes of fatty acid amides; N-acylethanolamines, fatty acid primary amides and N-acyl amino acids. This enzyme has a preference for monounsaturated acyl chains as a substrate.
Research Area: Cardiovascular, Metabolism, Signal Transduction
Synonyms:
AMDD, amidase domain containing, amidase domain containing protein, Amidase domain-containing protein, Anandamide amidohydrolase 2, FAAH-2, FAAH2, FAAH2, fatty acid amide hydrolase 2, Fatty-acid amide hydrolase 2, FLJ31204, Oleamide hydrolase 2, RP11-479E16, RP11-479E16.1
Immunogen: Recombinant protein of human FAAH2
Swissprot: Q6GMR7
Gene Accession: BC073922
Purification Method: Affinity purification
Buffer: PBS with 0.05% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, PH7.4
Concentration: 0.5 mg/mL
Dilution: IHC 1:50-1:200
