Background:
This gene is a member of the TAFA family which is composedof five highly homologous genes that encode small secretedproteins. These proteins contain conserved cysteine residues atfixed positions, and are distantly related to MIP-1alpha, a memberof the CC-chemokine family. The TAFA proteins are predominantlyexpressed in specific regions of the brain, and are postulated tofunction as brain-specific chemokines or neurokines, that act asregulators of immune and nervous cells.
Other Names:
Protein FAM19A3, Chemokine-like protein TAFA-3, FAM19A3, TAFA3
Gene Name: TAFA3 (HGNC:21590)
Gene ID: 284467
Primary Accession: Q7Z5A8
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
