Protein Family: CAM Ligands, Cell Adhesion Molecules, Cellular Antigens
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Growth and Death, Immune System, Infectious Diseases, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Alternate Names: FAP; Fibronectin-attachment protein; FAP-P
Accession No.: F7PEA1
Description:
Fibronectin attachment proteins (FAPs) comprise a family of fibronectin-binding glycoproteins that are expressed by several species of mycobacteria. FAPs are critical for attachment and internalization of Mycobacterium bovis BCG and M. avium subsp. avium to tissue of host. FAP-P Peptide corresponds to the FAP sequence (aa265-288) found in M. avium subsp. paratuberculosis., which mediates soluble fibronectin binding. However, unlike the FAPs of other mycobacteria, FAP-P is not present on the surface of the organism.
Format:
Each vial contains 1 mg of lyophilized solid packaged under an inert gas and supplied as a trifluoroacetate salt.
MW: 2659.0 g/mol
Sequence:
H-Gly-Asn-Ala-Gln-Arg-Trp-Phe-Val-Val-Trp-Leu-Gly-Thr-Ser-Asn-Asp-Pro-Val-Asp-Lys-Val-Ala-Ala-Lys-OH or H-GNAQRWFVVWLGTSNDPVDKVAAK-OH
Composition:
C121H184N34O34
Purity:
> 95% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20°C.
