Protein Family: Cytokines, CAM Ligands
Pathway and Disease: Signal Transduction, Cell Motility, Cancers
Description:
Fibroblast growth factor 8 (FGF8) stimulates the growth of cells in an autocrine manner. FGF8 mediates hormonal action on the growth of cancer cells. Defects in FGF8 are a cause of idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (IHH). IHH is defined as a deficiency of the pituitary secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, which results in the impairment of pubertal maturation and of reproductive function.
Alternate Names: FGF-8, Fibroblast growth factor 8, Heparin-binding growth factor 8, HBGF-8, Androgen-induced growth factor, AIGF, FGF8
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P55075
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human FGF8.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
