Protein Family: CAM Ligands
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Cell Motility, Cancers, Cell Communication, Infectious Diseases, Cancers
Description:
Fibronectin bind cell surfaces and various compounds including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin. Fibronectin is involved in cell adhesion, cell motility, opsonization, wound healing, and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in fibronectin are the cause of glomerulopathy with fibronectin deposits type 2 (GFND2), also known as familial glomerular nephritis with fibronectin deposits or fibronectin glomerulopathy. GFND is a genetically heterogeneous autosomal dominant disorder characterized clinically by proteinuria, microscopic hematuria, and hypertension that leads to end-stage renal failure in the second to fifth decade of life.
Alternate Names: Fibronectin, FN, Cold-insoluble globulin, CIG, FN1
Application Notes: E: 1:1,000-1:10,000; WB: 1:200-1:1,000; IHC: 1:50-1:250
Accession No.: P02751
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the c-term region of human fibronectin.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 0.5% BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
