Protein Family: CAM Ligands
Pathway and Disease: Cell Communication
Description:
Fibulin-5 promotes adhesion of endothelial cells through interaction of integrins and the RGD motif. Fibulin-5 is a vascular ligand for integrin receptors and may play a role in vascular development and remodeling. Defects in fibulin-5 are a cause of autosomal dominant cutis laxa (ADCL). Hereditary cutis laxa refers to a heterogeneous group of connective tissue disorders characterized by cutaneous abnormalities and variable systemic manifestations. The most constant clinical feature is loose skin, sagging over the face and trunk.
Alternate Names: Fibulin-5, Fibulin 5, FIBL-5, Developmental arteries and neural crest EGF-like protein, Dance, Urine p50 protein, UP50, FBLN5
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q9UBX5
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human fibulin-5.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
