Background:
FOXO1A (FKHR or ForkHead in Rhabdomyosarcoma) is a 70 kDa protein which is a member of a subfamily of the forkhead homeotic gene family of transcription factors. Recent studies have shown that this protein can act as either a coactivator or a corepressor of nuclear receptor activity. This action is mediated through the LXXLL motif found in the C terminus of the FOXO1A protein. The specific function of the gene has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in myogenic growth and differentiation. Chromosomal aberrations involving FOXO1A are a cause of rhabdomyosarcoma 2 (RMS2); also known as alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.
Alternative Name:
Forkhead box protein O1, Forkhead box protein O1A, Forkhead in rhabdomyosarcoma, FOXO1, FKHR, FOXO1A
Application Dilution: IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: p-FOXO1A (S329) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of FOXO1A protein only when phosphorylated at Ser329
Immunogen:
Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human FKHR around the phosphorylation site of Serine 329.
MW: ~ 70 to 82 kDa
Swis Prot.: Q12778
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
