Protein Family: Transcription Factors
Pathway and Disease: Signal Transduction, Transcription
Alternate Names: FOSL1; FOS-like antigen 1; Fos-related antigen 1; FRA-1; FRA1
Accession No.: P15407
Description:
Fos-related antigen 1 (FOSL1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FOSL1 gene. The Fos gene family consists of 4 members: FOS, FOSB, FOSL1, and FOSL2. These genes encode leucine zipper proteins that can dimerize with proteins of the JUN family, thereby forming the transcription factor complex AP-1. As such, the FOS proteins have been implicated as regulators of cell proliferation, differentiation, and transformation.
Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 ml peptide in deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.
MW: 1814.9 g/mol
Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 251523 is selected from a sequence within the center region of human FOSL1. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
Composition:
C80H122N18O30
Purity:
> 80% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C.
