Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
FREM1 is a member of the FRAS1-related extracellular matrix protein family and is thought to play a role in craniofacial and renal development. FREM1 functions as an extracellular matrix protein that is essential for epidermal adhesion during embryogenesis and may also participate in epidermal differentiation. It is recognized by cells in the embryonic skin and hair follicles through different members of the integrin family. Deficiency in the Fras1/Frem genes gives rise to the bleb phenotype, which is equivalent to the human hereditary disorder Fraser syndrome.
Alternate Names: FREM1, FRAS1-related extracellular matrix protein 1, QBRICK, BNAR, TILRR
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; ICC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: NP_659403
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within human FREM1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml IgG in PBS pH 7.4 with 0.02% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
