Catalog Number: 23-A0083
Size: 25 µg
Isotype: Mouse IgG1 kappa
Size: 25 µg
Isotype: Mouse IgG1 kappa
Decription:
FTO (Fat mass-and obesity-associated gene) is the responsible gene for mouse 'fused toes' mutation. An association between FTO genotype and type 2 diabetes has been confirmed. The presence of the FTO rs9939609 A-allele was found to be positively correlated with other symptoms of the metabolic syndrome, including higher fasting insulin, glucose, triglycerides, and lower HDL-cholesterol.
Synonyms: Fat Mass and Obesity-associated Protein, FATSO
Clone: FT62-6
Isotype: Mouse IgG1 kappa
Immunogen: Recombinant human FTO.
Reactivity: mouse
Specificity: Recognizes mouse FTO. Weakly cross-reacts with human FTO. Does not cross-react with rat FTO.
Form: Purified, in 0.2um-filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Contains no preservatives.
Applications:
ELISA: (direct and indirect: 1:2'000-1:5'000)
Immunohistochemistry: (paraffin sections (1:100-1:500))
Immunoprecipitation: (5?g/ml per sample in a final reaction volume of 500-1000?l).
Western Blot: (1:2'000-1:5'000 using ECL. Suggested blocking and dilution buffer is PBST containing 0.05% Tween 20 and 5% skim milk. Suggested incubation time is 1 hour at room temperature).
Working Dilution: Optimal conditions must be determined individually for each application.
Concentration: 1mg/ml
Storage: 2-8C immediate use, or -20C (aliquote)
