Background:
Glycosyltransferases that mediate the regio- and stereoselective transfer of sugars, such as the fucosyltransferases, determine cell surface-carbohydrate profiles, which is an essential interface for biological recognition processes. Fucosyltransferases catalyze the covalent association of fucose to different positional linkages in sugar acceptor molecules. The carbohydrate moieties generated and covalently attached to cell surfaces are necessary to ensure a surface contour that satisfies physiological roles, which are reliant on adhesion molecules such as Selectin.
Alternative Name:
Galactoside 3(4)-L-fucosyltransferase, Blood group Lewis alpha-4-fucosyltransferase, Lewis FT, Fucosyltransferase 3, Fucosyltransferase III, FucTIII, FucT-3, FucT3, FUT3, FT3B, LE
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:1000, IHC: 1:50~1:200, ICC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: FucT-III polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of FucT-III protein.
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 138-183 of Human FucT-III.
MW: ~ 42 kDa
Swis Prot.: P21217
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
