AC-BP1568b
Background:
GCAP2, a member of the guanylin peptide family, is an endogenous activator of intestinal guanylate cyclase (GC-C). Uroguanylin is expressed in the stomach and intestine and uroguanylin, as well as guanylin, may be a potent physiological regulator of intestinal fluid and electrolyte transport.
Other Names:
Guanylyl cyclase-activating protein 2, GCAP 2, Guanylate cyclase activator 1B, GUCA1B, GCAP2
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP1568b was selected from the C-term region of human GCAP2 . A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: GUCA1B
Gene ID: 2979
Primary Accession: Q9UMX6
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
