Background:
This gene encodes a member of the gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT) family, which are important in the metabolismof glutathione. The most ubiquitously expressed human GGT gene,GGT1, encodes a single transmembrane polypeptide that ispost-translationally processed to form a heavy and a light chain. In contrast, the product of this gene only contains homology to thelight chain region, and lacks a transmembrane domain. Multiplealternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, havebeen identified.
Other Names:
Gamma-glutamyltransferase light chain 1, Gamma-glutamyltransferase-like activity 4, Gamma-glutamyltransferase-like protein 6, GGTLC1, GGTLA4
Gene Name: GGTLC1
Gene ID: 92086
Primary Accession: Q9BX51
Other Accession: NP_842563.1
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
