Background:
This gene encodes a protein with similarity to both thepathogenesis-related protein (PR) superfamily and the cysteine-richsecretory protein (CRISP) family. Increased expression of this geneis associated with myelomocytic differentiation in macrophage anddecreased expression of this gene through gene methylation isassociated with prostate cancer. The protein has proapoptoticactivities in prostate and bladder cancer cells. This gene is amember of a cluster on chromosome 12 containing two other similargenes. Alternatively spliced variants which encode differentprotein isoforms have been described; however, not all variantshave been fully characterized.
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
