Alternate Names: Intestinal protein OCI-5; GTR2-2; MXR7; GPC3; OCI5

Accession No.: P51654, NP_004475

Description:
Glypican-3 (GPC3) is a cell surface proteoglycan that bears heparan sulfate. GPC3 is likely involved in the modulation of growth in the predominantly mesodermal tissues and organs. Defects in GPC3 are the cause of pre- and postnatal overgrowth (gigantism, Simpson-Golabi-Behmel syndrome).

Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 ml peptide in deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.

MW: 1944.2 g/mol

Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200135 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of human Glypican-3. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.

Composition:
C87H138N28O21S1

Purity:
> 80% by HPLC

Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
