Background:
Catalyzes the methylation of glycine by using S- adenosylmethionine (AdoMet) to form N-methylglycine (sarcosine) with the concomitant production of S-adenosylhomocysteine (AdoHcy). Possible crucial role in the regulation of tissue concentration of AdoMet and of metabolism of methionine.
Other Names:
Glycine N-methyltransferase, 2.1.1.20, GNMT
Target/Specificity:
This GNMT antibody is generated from a mouse immunized with a recombinant protein between 1-295 amino acids from the human GNMT.
Antigen Type: Recombinant Protein
Gene Name: GNMT (HGNC:4415)
Gene ID: 27232
Primary Accession: Q14749
Format: Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, followed by dialysis against PBS.
