Background:
This gene encodes the gamma sunbunit of the N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphotransferase complex. This hexameric complex, composed of alpha, beta and gamma subunits, catalyzes the first step in synthesis of a mannose 6-phosphate lysosomal recognition marker. This enzyme complex is necessary for targeting of lysosomal hydrolases to the lysosome. Mutations in the gene encoding the gamma subunit have been associated with mucolipidosis IIIC, also known as mucolipidosis III gamma.

Other Names:
N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphotransferase subunit gamma, GlcNAc-1-phosphotransferase subunit gamma, UDP-N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphotransferase subunit gamma, GNPTG, C16orf27, GNPTAG

Target/Specificity:
This GNPTG antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 266-296 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human GNPTG.

Antigen Region:
266-296

Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide

Gene Name: GNPTG
Gene ID: 84572
Primary Accession: Q9UJJ9
NCBI Accession: NP_115909.1
Other Accession: NP_115909.1
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
