Background:
GZMK is a member of a group of related serineproteases from the cytoplasmic granules of cytotoxic lymphocytes.Cytolytic T lymphocytes (CTL) and natural killer (NK) cells sharethe remarkable ability to recognize, bind, and lyse specific targetcells. They are thought to protect their host by lysing cellsbearing on their surface 'nonself' antigens, usually peptides orproteins resulting from infection by intracellular pathogens. Theprotein described here lacks consensus sequences forN-glycosylation present in other granzymes.
Other Names:
Granzyme K, 3421-, Fragmentin-3, Granzyme-3, NK-tryptase-2, NK-Tryp-2, GZMK, TRYP2
Gene Name: GZMK
Gene ID: 3003
Primary Accession: P49863
Other Accession: NP_002095
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
