Immunogen:
Purified human Haemoglobin A1c, from erythrocytes

Form: Purified Ig fraction (in PBS, pH 7.2), containing 0.1% Sodium Azide

Specificity:
This antibody was raised using purified Hb A1c. However, without prior adsorption against other haemoglobin types it will show cross-reactivity. For example, on double immunodiffusion the whole antibody gave a strong band against both HbA1c and Hb Ao; after absorption with Hb Ao a band was obtained only with Hb A1c. Adsorption has not been performed on the above antibodies (neat or Ig fraction).
