Size: 100 µl
Isotype: Mouse IgG1, k
Decription:
Hexokinase is the first enzyme in the glycolytic pathway, catalyzing the transfer of a phosphoryl group from ATP to glucose to form glucose-6-phosphate and ADP. In mammals, four distinct enzymes-types 1 to 4 hexokinases-have been identified. The enzyme is found in most cells, but there is tissue specificity for the particular type of hexokinase. Hexokinase 3 lacks the hydrophobic N-terminal sequence critical for targeting to mitochondria. Hexpkinase 3 may have anabolic functions, providing H6P for glycogen or lipid synthesis.
Synonyms: HK3, Hexokinase 3, EC 2.7.1.1, Hexokinase type III, HK III, Hexokinase-3, HKIII, Hexokinase3, HK3, HXK3
Clone: 4F5. Anti-human Hexokinase 3 mAb, clone 4F5, is derived from hybridization of mouse SP2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human Hexokinase 3 protein.
Isotype: Mouse IgG1, k
Immunogen: Recombinant human Hexokinase 3 (1-923aa) purified from E. coli
Reactivity: human
Form: Purified, in Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) with 0.1% Sodium Azide.
Applications: ELISA, WB (Cell lysate)
NCBI Nr.: NP_002106
Concentration: 0.1 mg/ml
Storage: Can be stored at +4C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
