Background:
HMGN2 binds to the inner side of the nucleosomal DNA thus altering the interaction between the DNA and the histone octamer. May be involved in the process which maintains transcribable genes in an unique chromatin conformation (By similarity).
Other Names:
Non-histone chromosomal protein HMG-17, High mobility group nucleosome-binding domain-containing protein 2, HMGN2, HMG17
Target/Specificity:
This HMGN2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1-30 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human HMGN2.
Antigen Region:
1-30
Antigen Type: Synthetic Peptide
Gene Name: HMGN2
Gene ID: 3151
Primary Accession: P05204
NCBI Accession: NP_005508.1
Other Accession: P18437; P80272; NP_005508.1
Format: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
