Decription:
It recognizes a 24-27kDa estrogen-regulated protein, identified as heat shock protein 27 (hsp27). Hsp27 was recently found to be identical to the estrogen-induced �p29� and �24K� protein. About 50% of breast carcinomas are positive for hsp27 especially those that are also positive for estrogen and/or progesterone receptor. HSP27 has also been implicated in drug resistance in cancer cells.

Immunogen: Partially purified hsp27 (earlier called 24K) protein from breast cancer MCF-7 cells.
Reactivity: human, chimpanzee, sheep, rat, mouse, and chicken. Others-not known.
Form: Purified, in 10mM PBS with 0.05% BSA & 0.05% azide. Also available WITHOUT BSA & azide at 1.0mg/ml.
Applications: Flow Cytometry (0.5-1ug/million cells in 0.1ml)
Immunofluorescence (0.5-1ug/ml)
Western Blotting (0.25-0.5ug/ml)
Immunohistology (Formalin-fixed) (0.5-1ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT)
(Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is enhanced by boiling tissue sections in 10mM Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes)
Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.
Reactivity: ~50% of Breast Carcinomas are positive for hsp27 especially those that are also positive for estrogen and/or progesterone receptor.
Concentration: 0.2mg/ml
Storage: Can be stored at +4C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
