Description: Recombinant full length human cardiac Troponin T protein.
Background:
Troponin T is one of 3 subunits that form the troponin complex of the thin filaments of striated muscle, the others are troponin I and troponin C. Troponin T was discovered by the German physician Hugo A. Katus. It binds to tropomyosin and helps position it on actin And in a less complicated light, Troponin T modulates contraction of striated muscle. In patients with stable coronary artery disease, troponin T concentrations have been found to be significantly associated with the incidence of cardiovascular death and heart failure, but not with myocardial infarction.
Synonyms:
Troponin T, cardiac muscle, TnTc, Cardiac muscle Troponin T, cTnT, TNNT2
Purity: >96% by SDS-PAGE
Storage buffer: Each vial contains 5 mM EDTA, 15 mM Mercaptoethanol, 20 mM Tris with 0.5% NaN3.
Storage and Expiration:
Ship at 4℃.Upon receipt, aliquot and store at -20℃ or -80℃ for long term. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
