Description: Recombinant full length human GP73 protein with molecular weight 50 kDa.
Background:
Golgi membrane protein 1 (GOLM1) also known as Golgi phosphoprotein 2 or Golgi membrane protein GP73 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GOLM1 gene. GP73 is a novel 73kDa human Golgi protein. In vitro transcription-translation studies indicate that GP73 is an integral membrane protein, and immunolocalization experiments using epitope-tagged GP73 demonstrate that the protein is localized to the Golgi apparatus. It represents a novel, epithelial cell-specific integral membrane Golgi protein that can be upregulated in response to viral infection. Blood levels of GP73 are higher in patients with liver cancer than in healthy individuals. In addition, levels were not significantly higher in patients with diseases other than liver disease.
Synonyms:
Golgi membrane protein 1, GOLM1, Golgi membrane protein GP73, Golgi phosphoprotein 2,GOLPH2,C9orf155
Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE
Storage buffer: Each vial contains Tris-HCL (pH7.4±0.2) with 0.02% sodium azide.
Storage and Expiration:
Ship at 4℃. Upon receipt, aliquot and store at -20℃ or -80℃ for long term. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
