Description: Recombinant human HSP90AA1 protein withTrx.tag and His tagatN-terminalwith molecular weight of 85 kDa.
Background:
Hsp90 (heat shock protein 90) is a chaperone protein that assists other proteins to fold properly, stabilizes proteins against heat stress, and aids in protein degradation. In a functional proteomic screen for proteins required for invasion, extracellular heat shock protein 90 alpha (Hsp90α) was identified and shown to activate matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2). The mechanism of MMP-2 activation by Hsp90α is unknown. Intracellular Hsp90α commonly functions with a complex of co-chaperones, leading to our hypothesis that Hsp90α functions similarly outside of the cell. An increase in Hsp-90a concentrations in patients with arterial hypertension may be a compensatory mechanism for the impaired bioavailability of nitric oxide.
Synonyms:
HSP90AA1, EL52, HSP86, HSP89A, HSP90A, HSP90N, HSPC1, HSPCA, HSPCAL1, HSPCAL4, HSPN, Hsp89, Hsp90, LAP-2, LAP2, HEL-S-65p, Heat shock protein 90kDa alpha, heat shock protein 90kDa alpha family class A member 1, heat shock protein 90 alpha family class A member 1, Hsp103
Purity: > 60% by SDS-PAGE
Storage buffer: 0.01M PBS, 0.15M NaCl, 2mM EDTA pH 7.4 without preservatives.
Storage and Expiration:
Ship at 4℃. Upon receipt, aliquot and store at -20℃ or -80℃ for long term. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
