Introduction:
Interleukin 17F (IL-17F) is signaling protein that is in human which is encoded by the IL17F gene and is considered a pro-inflammatory cytokine. This protein belongs to the interleukin 17 family and is mainly produced by the T helper 17 cells after their stimulation with interleukin 23. However, IL-17F can be also produced by a wide range of cell types, including innate immune cells and epithelial cells. The IL17F gene is located on chromosome 6p12 and was discovered in 2001. This cytokine can be secreted as disulfide-linked homodimer or heterodimer.

Principle of the Assay:
This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-IL-17F polyclonal antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-IL-17F polyclonal antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the IL-17F amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O. D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of IL-17F can be calculated.

Application:
For quantitative detection of IL-17F in human serum, plasma, body fluids, tissue lysatesor cellculture supernatants.

Storage and Expiration:
Store at 2-8℃ for 6months, or at -20℃for 12 months.
