Description: Recombinant full length human KGF2 protein.
Background:
Keratinocyte Growth Factor 2, also known as Fibroblast growth factor 10 ,the latteris a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. It is expressed during development and preferentially in adult lung. The predicted FGF-10 protein is most related to keratinocyte growth factor (KGF, or FGF-7). FGF-10 and KGF have similar receptor binding properties and target cell specificities, but are differentially regulated by components of the extracellular matrix. KGF-2 is 96% identical to the recently identified rat FGF-10 and specifically stimulates growth of normal human epidermal keratinocytes. KGF-2 is a potent stimulator of wound healing as demonstrated by increased mechanical strength accompanied by an increase in wound collagen content. KGF-2 could be an important cellular mediator responsible for the initiation and acceleration of wound healing and may enhance the healing of surgical wounds.
Synonyms:
FGFA, Fibroblast growth factor 10, FGF10, FGF-10, KGF-2
Purity: >98% by HPLC
Endotoxin level: < 0.1 ng/μg (1 EU/μg) by LAL test
Reconstitution: Reconstitute with sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O.
Dimers: < 1% by SDS-PAGE
Storage buffer: Each vial contains 10 mM Phosphate bufferand 200 mM NaCl(pH7.0) without preservatives.
Storage and Expiration:
Ship at 4℃. Upon receipt, store at -20℃ or -80℃ for 2 years. After reconstituting, it can store at 4℃ for a week, it is recommended to add 0.1% HSA or BSAfor long term. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
