Background:
Human serum albumin is the most abundant protein in human blood plasma. It is produced in the liver, and cleaved in the Golgi vesicles. It has a molecular mass of 67 kDa. Albumin transports hormones, fatty acids, and other compounds, buffers pH, and maintains osmotic pressure.[1] As a negative acute-phase protein, is down-regulated in inflammatory states. As such, it is not a valid marker of nutritional status; rather, it is a marker in inflammatory states. Human albumin is often used to replace lost fluid and help restore blood volume in trauma, burns and surgery patients. [2]
Immunogen:
Purified human serum albumin.
Recommended Application:
Western Blot, WB(1:1000)
Product Form: Liquid
Purification: Protein A purified
Storage Buffer: 1*PBS (pH7.4), 0.2% BSA, 40% Glycerol and 0.05% Sodium Azide.
Storage Instruction:
Store at 4℃ after thawing (1 week). Aliquot and store at -20℃ for long term (at least one year). Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
