Background:
Interferon-gamma inducible protein 16 (IFI16) belongs to the HIN-200 family of transcriptional regulator linked to cell cycle regulation and differentiation by modulating the activities of multiple transcriptional factors, such as p53 and Rb. The HIN-200 (hematopoeitic interferon-inducible nuclear antigens with 200 amino acid repeat) family members contain a DNA binding domain, a transcriptional regulatory domain, DAPIN/PAAD domain associated with interferon response and a binding domain for BRCA1. IFI16 may have a role in the regulation of hematopoeitic cell differentiation and also be involved in DNA repair since it becomes a component of the DNA repair multi-protein BASC complex after UV-induced DNA damage. IFI16 is strongly induced by gamma interferon in vivo.
Alternative Name:
Gamma-interferon-inducible protein Ifi-16, Interferon-inducible myeloid differentiation transcriptional activator, IFI16, IFNGIP1
Application Dilution: IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: IFI-16 (N772) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of IFI-16 protein.
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 740-795 of Human IFI-16.
MW: ~ 88 kDa
Swis Prot.: Q16666
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
