Protein Family: Cellular Antigens, Enzymes, Protein Kinases, Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Communication, Nervous and Sensory Systems
Alternate Names: Insulin-like growth factor I receptor; CD221 antigen; IGF-I receptor; IGF1R
Accession No.: P08069
Description:
IGF1R binds insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) with high affinity and IGF2 with low affinity. The receptor has a tyrosine protein kinase activity necessary for the activation of the IGF1-stimulated downstream signaling cascade.
Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 ml peptide in deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.
MW: 1757 g/mol
Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200109 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human IGF1R. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
Composition:
C72H125N25O24S1
Purity:
> 80% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C.
