Background:
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fab and Fc subunits of the IgG. It includes a certain degree of reactivity with other immunoglobulins via the common Fab portion. It does not react with any non-Ig protein in monkey serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In enzyme-immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical staining for the detection of antigens or antibodies at the cellular and subcellular level by staining of appropriately treated cell and tissue substrates; to demonstrate circulating antibodies in serodiagnostic microbiology and autoimmune diseases; to identify a specific antigen using a reference antibody of monkey origin in the middle layer of the indirect test procedure; in non-isotopic assay methodology (e.g. ELISA, Western blotting). This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labelled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal.Working dilutions for histochemical and cytochemical use are usually between 1:100 and 1:500; in ELISA and comparable non-precipitating antibody-binding assays between 1:2,000 and 1:10,000.

Isotype: Goat Polyclonal

Source: Purified normal IgG isolated from pooled rhesus monkey serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Form: Horseradish peroxidase-coupled purified hyperimmune goat IgG, in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2).

Specificity:
Horseradish peroxidase-conjugated IgG fraction of polyclonal Goat anti-Serum to Monkey IgG, heavy and light chains.

Reactivity: Monkey

Cross Reactivity:
Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity has not been tested in detail, but reactions with IgG in Serum of other old-world Monkeys, including Cercopithecus, Cynomolgus and baboon, Chimpanzee and man can be expected.

Applications: ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin), Dot blot, Immunoblotting

Storage: Store at 4C, or in small aliquots at -20C.
