Background:
The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the major isotypes of the human immunoglobulin system (classes and both light chain types) including antibodies to common determinants, to class and to the surface determinants of the common Fab portion, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion against pooled serum and purified immunoglobulins. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis, single and double radial immunodiffusion (Mancini, Ouchterlony) to identify and measure immunoglobulins; as secondary antibody to precipitate the immunoglobulin in normal human serum.
Isotype: Goat Polyclonal
Source: Purified normal IgG and fractions containing IgA, IgM and homogenous IgD and IgE isolated from human serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Form: Delipidated, heat inactivated, in PBS and 0.1% sodium azide.
Specificity:
Precipitating polyclonal Goat anti-Serum to Human immunoglobulins, IgG, IgA, IgM, IgD and IgE, heavy and light chains
Reactivity: human
Cross Reactivity:
Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.
Applications: Immunoprecipitation
Storage: Store at 4C, or in small aliquots at -20C.
