Isotype: Mouse IgG1, k
Decription:
Interleukin-16 (IL-16) is an immunomodulatory cytokine, which induces lymphocyte migration, expression of proinflammatory IL-1beta, IL6 and tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNFalpha), and modulates apoptosis. This protein is a pleiotropic cytokine that functions as a chemoattractant, a modulator of T cell activation, and an inhibitor of HIV replication. The signaling process of this cytokine is mediated by CD4. Also, IL-16 has been shown to recruit and activate many other cell including monocytes, eosinophils, and dendritic cells expressing the CD4 molecules.
Synonyms: LCF, prIL-16, FLJ16806, FLJ42735, FLJ44234, HST19289, IL 16, Lymphocyte chemoattractant factor, HGNC:5980, Interleukin 16 precursor, PrIL16,
Clone: J2F10. Anti-human IL-16 mAb, clone J2F10, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human IL-16 protein.
Isotype: Mouse IgG1, k
Immunogen: Recombinant human IL-16 (502-631aa) purified from E. coli
Reactivity: human, mouse
Form: Purified, in Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) with 0.1% Sodium Azide.
Applications: ELISA, WB (Cell lysate)
Working Dilution: Optimal dilution should be performed by user.
NCBI Nr.: NP_004504
Concentration: 0.1 mg/ml
Storage: Can be stored at +4C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
