Isotype: Mouse IgG1 kappa
Decription:
IL-23p40 associates with IL-23A to form the IL-23 interleukin, an heterodimeric cytokine which functions in innate and adaptive immunity. IL-23 binds to an heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IL-12RB1 and IL-23R, activates the Jak-Stat signaling cascade, stimulates memory rather than naive T-cells and promotes production of proinflammatory cytokines. IL-23 induces autoimmune inflammation and thus may be responsible for autoimmune inflammatory diseases and may be important for tumorigenesis. Defects in IL-23p40 are a cause of mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease (MSMD). Genetic variations in IL-23p40 are a cause of susceptibility to psoriasis type 11 (PSORS11).
Synonyms: Interleukin-23 Subunit p40, IL-23 Subunit p40, Interleukin-12 Subunit beta, IL-12B, Cytotoxic Lymphocyte Maturation Factor 40 kDa Subunit, CLMF p40, IL-12 Subunit p40, NK Cell Stimulatory Factor Chain 2, NKSF2
Clone: I 1108
Isotype: Mouse IgG1 kappa
Immunogen: Recombinant human IL-23p40.
Reactivity: human
Specificity: Recognizes human IL-23p40. Does not cross-react with human IL-23p19.
Form: Purified, in 0.2um-filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Contains no preservatives.
Applications:
ELISA: (direct or indirect: 1:500-1:10'000)
