AC-BP2907c
Background:
ITGB4BP binds to the fibronectin type III domains of ITGB4 and may help link ITGB4 to the intermediate filament cytoskeleton. This protein, which is insoluble and found both in the nucleus and in the cytoplasm, can function as a translation initiation factor and prevent the association of the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits.
Other Names:
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 6 {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03132}, eIF-6 {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03132}, B(2)GCN homolog, B4 integrin interactor, CAB, p27(BBP), EIF6 {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03132}
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP2907c was selected from the Center region of human ITGB4BP. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Gene Name: EIF6 {ECO:0000255|HAMAP-Rule:MF_03132, ECO:0000312|HGNC:HGNC:6159}
Gene ID: 3692
Primary Accession: P56537
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
